Obama dozed….people froze…

Well, this one he cannot get away from and blame on Bush - that ice storm earlier this week that hit the MidWest? More deaths there than from Katrina! So what is emergency effectiveness of “turn up the heat in the Oval Office” Obama and his FEMA head, Nancy Ward, to this killer ice storm with 1 million still without power 5 days later?? From Jeff at RedState: 42 people dead; communities iced in and without lifesaving power for heat and cooking; conditions worsening — and FEMA nowhere to be

Making the Sauce

Juggling the baby is a fine art. We pass her back and forth all day long, sharing the smiles and the frowns and teaching her all about the world we live in. As we share time with baby we also share a variety of tasks. The person cooking in the kitchen at any given time is the one not holding the baby. The other morning, round about 7:30am Alex was holding the baby and spontaneously put her in the baby carrier. It’s a hit and miss item so when she settled down happily against his chest I inherit

I am Woman, Hear Me Roar

I am so exhausted with the multitasking. I would love to spend a week with nothing I have to do! I have been juggling the SDA conference registration, working on the 12 X 12 challenge piece and preparing and teaching a workshop and still doing the shopping, cooking and laundry for the two of us. I must say that teaching the workshop was really a lot of fun. As usual, I over planned things. But, I wanted them to have options. There were 9 or 10 people at the class. The classroom was not ideal f

The lion is going from shop to shop to bless the businesses with good luck in this Year of the Ox. You’ll see the lettuce hung on the door of the shop by the shopowner as an offering to the lion - which the beast gra

Design shows were definitely my show of choice, but the show that trumped them all was Martha Stewart Living. Martha could do it all, decorating, cooking, baking, gardening, she rules when it comes to homemaking. Martha increased my interest from

Open Thread by BooMan Sat Jan 31st, 2009 at 03:27:01 PM EST It’s the end of the month and I have rent and server bills to pay again. The blogosphere is not selling much in the way of Blogads in this economy and I’m feeling the hit. If you haven’t filed for bankruptcy yet and still have a place to live, maybe you could give a donation to help keep the server cooking. I would surely appreciate it greatly.
